HEMS skills showcase day on the 23 January 2017
The Doc John Hinds HEMS Committee was set up following the tragic death of the road racing medic Doctor John Hinds, in July, 2015.
Doctor Hinds was committed to the establishment of an appropriately trained Doctor-Paramedic HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service) in Northern Ireland.
The aim of the committee is to ensure his vision of having an effective HEMS in Northern Ireland turns into a reality. The committee was formed at the request of John’s partner Dr Janet Acheson and the Hinds family and is a group of pre hospital Doctors and paramedics, who have been trained by, and worked alongside John.
The Committee is not a fund raising organization and everyone associated with it give their time voluntarily.
